A superb standard of pool was on display on Tuesday night in Scarva Street as O’Reillys inflicted the first defeat of the season on Higgins’ and with it joined the home side and The Coach at the top of the premier division . Banbridge Legion 4

The Legion gained only their second point of the season but boy it was a vital point in the context of the league , The Coach must have thought they were cruising for another win as after the singles matches they ere 4 - 2 up with wins for Mucker Mc Mullen , Eric , Tom Moore and Barry Mc Geown , but the Legion do not give up , Lee Murray and G Adair gave them something to hold on too and they came good in the doubles by winning both games to earn what looked like an unlikely point , Anthony Thompson and Sid Kerr sank the winnig pot.

Market Bar A 3

Mulhollands picked up their first win of the season and in doing so inflicted a third successive defeat on a Market Bar side that only lost three times in all of last term , S Massey and Gary Crawford took the opening two frames and the Market were under pressure straight away , Keiron Mallon steadied the ship for the visitors but that was only a stop gap as Mulhollands won the next two frames , a come back was definately on as Owen Cull took the final singles match and Mark Howe/Keiron Mallon won the opening doubles game but Mulhollands dug deep with Gary Crawford and Raymie Jess seeing home the victory .

Castle Bar A 6

The Imperial 2

This was a cruise for the home side and with it they are only one point behind the top three , Stephen Fitzpatrick started the ball rolling and he was quickly followed by Gordy Magennis , M Johnson gave the visitors some hope but that was short lived as Ryan Fitzpatrick started a three frame sequence to end the singles 5 -1 up and secure the points.
