MONDAY JULY 15 - Albert Morrison is always the man to beat in the Monday Sweep. Albert shot a brilliant score of 36 points for the 14 holes but it wasn’t enough to win. Robert Clydesdale was in scintillating form and he finished with 37 points. He was over the moon.
1st- Robert Clydesdale (18) 37; 2nd, Albert Morrison (20) 36; 3rd, Michael Beattie (16) 34 points.
WEDNESDAY JULY 17 - This was another exciting competition for the younger members of the golf club. At the end of the day, the happiest boy was Thomas Mc Kibben who had a “hole in one” at the par three 8th hole. Thomas, I think, wins a special prize from the How Did I Do website. Check it out, Thomas.
WHITE BLOCKS: 1st- Jamie Thompson (11) 42; 2nd, Gary McConville (15) 42.
YELLOW BLOCKS: 1st, Rory McMullan (19) 43; 2nd, Conor McCullough (22) 42.
THURSDAY JULY 18 - Young Callum Barnes notched up his first senior win of the season with an excellent score of 43 points in the Open stableford. One would expect to see Callum’s name on the prize lists several times over the summer period. 1st, Callum Barnes (10) 43 ; 2nd, William Horner (23) 41 points.
3rd- John Gallagher (12) 40 points.
Best Gross: Paul McAleavey (6) 72.
