Round nine of the Mid-Ulster Senior Alliance was held at Tandragee Golf Club last Wednesday.
The Banbridge team, captained by Dougie Stevenson, were hoping to post a good score and climb into the top half of the league table. That’s easier said than done
Peter Hillen and Brian Mulholland were both in good form as they scored 34 points each.
Sydney Pepper and Harry Shannon both finished with 31 points and they were surprised to learn that they had the third and fourth best cards for Banbridge.
So the team total for Banbridge was 130 points. This is not great but it is not bad.
The other four players for Banbridge were Seamus McGrath, Bobby Geddis, Bert Wilson and their leader, Dougie Stevenson.
The grand finale of the MUSA was played yesterday at Lurgan. The full story of how it all ended will be told next week.
