This Saturday is the first round of the Irish Senior Cup and last year’s runners up Dunbarton have received a bye and therefore have no game.

Their first round match in the Senior Private Greens Cup takes place this Thursday (7th May) away to Comber A and the locals will expect a safe passage into the second round.

Their next league match will be next Tuesday (12th) when they travel to Willowfield A.

Menawhile, the Senior Private Greens trial team was selected last week and, as expected, reigning league champions Dunbarton have a number of members involved.

Chris Trainor will be playing at lead, Pete Convery and Gary McElroy will play at second, Marty Trainor, Andy Hughes and Myles Greenfield will play at third.

Current Irish Internationals DJ Wilson and Conor McCartan will both skip a rink each.

The trial will take place at Falls BC on Thursday 14th May with the team for the Inter Association Championships picked shortly after.
