Mildred through to represent Banbridge in PGA Tankard

Celebrating a significant birthday recently has not interfered with Mildred Hodgett's golf.

Victoria’s Beauty Boutique sponsored Tuesday April 19th’s PGA Tankard stableford completion for the ladies.

Forty-six ladies played and Mildred was the winner with an impressive 39 points.

The club sent congratulations to Mildred on her win and her birthday. Mildred will play in Spa later this year with the winners from the other clubs.

Lady Captain Ann Magennis won Section A with 33pts and Vivivienne Faulkner Section B with 35pts.

The club would like to thank Victoria’s Beauty Boutique for the prizes.

TEAM NEWS

The Challenge Cup team managed an easy first round as Clones could not field a team so they are straight through to the second round.

The Minor Cup Team played Royal Belfast on Thursday April 14th, they won three and a half matches and the return match will be in Banbridge Friday May 6th.

The Junior Foursomes played Ballyclare Friday April 15, where stiff competition saw them win one of three matches played. All to play for girls on Sunday May 1st Banbridge at 2pm.

The Junior Cup first round was played at home on Saturday April 16 against Holywood. Holywood won three matches and Banbridge won two matches.

The Intermediate Team played Clandeboye Sunday April 17, with the team winning three matches.
