Maryjo and Jane team up to Knock back the rest

Maryjo Thompson and Jane Doyle won last week's ladies' foursomes at Banbridge GC, earning themselves a trip to play Knock GC in September.

The winning duo scored 37 points in arguably the game’s most demanding format to see off runners-up Liz Ramsey and Mary Longmore.

Georgie Duke was the sponsor of the competition and provided beautiful prizes. Georgie is a much respected lady member of the club, and while she no longer plays golf, she is always ready with an encouraging word for all the ladies. Her support to the club is invaluable.

This week sees the ladies play for Mr Captain’s prize and all the ladies wish him every success for his Captain’s day on Saturday July 2.
