Mark and David in Juvenile wins

LAST Wednesday, August 25, the Juvenile competition was sponsored by the Bistro.

The white block leaderboard was very tight at the top with four scores of 38 points for Thomas Luke, Stuart Nelson, Chris McAvoy and Mark McCullough. Mark played the back nine in a tremendous gross 34 and was declared the winner on countback.

It’s great to see Mark fulfilling his undoubted potential and delivering on a pedigree that stretches back at least two generations.

From the yellow block tees David Convery played very steadily for an excellent 42 points and had a two point winning margin from Joshua Crory with Mathew Jameson in third place a point further back.

Joshua failed to score on the final hole and this may well have cost him victory, while Mathew recorded a two on the 15th to help him finish with 39 points.

Both competitions were keenly contested with the following results:

WHITE BLOCKS: 1st, Mark McCullough 38; 2nd, Thomas Luke 38; 3rd, Stuart Nelson 38 points.

YELLOW BLOCKS: 1st, David Convery 42; 2nd, Joshua Crory 40; 3rd, Matthew Jameson 39 points.
