Both lakes at Islandderry Fishery, Dromore are fishing well with a lot of buzzer hatches and top of the water activity.
The blue trout are giving anglers a good sport due to the strong takes and fight with a lot of anglers being taken out to the backing line regularly.
Buzzers are still the favourite fly at the minute as Kilkeel angler Harry Dee found out on Saturday.
Harry released over 30 trout which included some nice fish over 5lb all caught on a oakey dokey buzzer on a bung.
Mark Geddis and Nicki Arnold, Donaghacloney also had a good day on buzzers landing over 30 trout between them in a couple of hours on buzzers and dwal bacs.
Barry McKibben and Matt McFadden, Lisburn, were enjoying the evening fishing from the banks releasing over 40 trout between them which included a lovely double figured trout of over 10lb caught by Barry, again on a black buzzer.
The next competitions at the fishery are for charity with the first, the annual Teggart Memorial fly and bait competition, taking place this Saturday the 26 April in aid of Cystic Fibrosis.
This will be followed by the Islandderry Trout Anglers competition for Huntington’s Disease on 10 may and the Operation Wallacea competition which was postponed in February has now been set for Saturday 17 May.
All competitions are open to all and places can be booked in advance by phone 07859074424.
