Ladies in seventh heaven after seeing off Armagh

It was a great performance by the team following last week’s loss.

With both Tracy Orr and Kerry Taggart back in the team it was a different side to that of last week and it took just 10 minutes for Kerry to score her first of the match. Amanda Morton played her through the middle before she rounded the keeper and slotted home.

With Tracy back in the team Diane Pearson moved into central midfield and Kerry Taggart replaced the injured Emma McClements.

Coleraine got back on level terms with a free that was tapped in at the back post. From then on it was one-way traffic as Dromore dominated. Amanda Morton got her first of the season as Michelle Orr set her up before Michelle then set Kerry up for her second with minutes to go to half time.

The half wasn’t over yet as Amy-Louise Graham played a ball down the line which Jill Bruce laid off for Kerry Taggart who chipped the keeper from wide on the right to complete her hat trick on the stroke of half time and give Dromore a 4-1 lead at the interval.

Shortly into the second half Dromore increased their lead as returning captain Tracy Orr scored a penalty after Deborah Douglas was fouled in the area before Kerry Taggart got her fourth of the match with a great solo goal, taking it around three defenders inside the area before placing it into the bottom corner.

Amanda Morton, who was having a fine performance, scored her second of the game with a header at the far post after a great cross in by Amy-Louise Graham to round off a great performance by the Dromore girls and give them a 7-1 lead.

With so many good performances throughout the team it was a tough call for manager Roger McCarten and his decision for Dame of the Game, so much so that he split it between Kerry Taggart for a great scoring performance and Amanda Morton who was superb all night from one box to the other.
