Ladies season opens with a win
THE 2010 season of Banbridge Ladies Bowling Club began with the unfurling of the flag by this year's President, Edith Whyte at the Bowling Green on Tuesday April 13.
The members present played two games of five ends each before enjoying a delicious tea in the Pavilion.
The first League match of the season was played in Banbridge on Thursday April 22 against Ardenlee with the home team finishing with six League points.
Rink results were as follows:
Rink 1: H Shepherd, L Frost, R McAdam, M Campbell: 28-8.25
Rink 2: L Byrne, E Smyth, H Steenson, M Ewart: 38-5
Rink 3: R McGivern, H Wilkinson, M Adams, M Finnegan 30-12
Rink 4: A Donald, C McDermott, E Whyte, M Martin 10-16.
