Bulls chalked up their second South West One East success on Saturday and both have come against teams who were playing two divisions higher than Kerr’s boys last season.

Bulls now have a week off before resuming against Old Patesians in a fortnight.

Kerr said: “Both our wins have come against teams who were playing at national league level before being relegated. But we need to target three wins out of the next four games when we resume.

“We knew we would be tested every week in this division and I’d prefer to get the games against the top sides out of the way while we are still coming to terms with rugby at this level.

“I knew we weren’t too far away and we had the ability to compete in this division. I was always confident we would get back to winning ways but there are only so many weeks you can keep saying that.”
