Bann had hoped to continue their good run of form however Grosvenor were looking dangerous on the counter attack while the home side failed to convert numerous chances.

Bann were soon given a wake up call as Grosvenor made it 1-0.

This shocked Bann into a response, scoring three goals to make it 3-1 at half time.

All three goals came from back post deflections - the first put away by Rachel Kerr, and then Lauren McGaw converted from an Elayne Brown cross.

The second half saw Bann remain on the front foot. The defence and midfield showed composure and patience in finding the forward line who continued to penetrate the Grosvenor circle.

The game was settled when Bann executed a well rehearsed penalty corner routine, Rachel Kerr picking up her second of the game leaving the final score 4-1 in favour of Bann.

Player of the match was Jenny Grimes who marshaled the defence well and distributed calmly from the back. Many thanks to our sponsors AB&C.
