John on top in Sunday Sweep

SUNDAY AUGUST 22 - John Doran played great for his win on Sunday morning. He did just enough to edge out Michael McGreevey by half a shot.

1st, John Doran (13) Nett 30.5; 2nd, Michael McGreevey (12) Nett 31; 3rd, Rab Clydesdale (21) Nett 33.

MONDAY AUGUST 23 - Alan Dale showed great form and a return to familiar territory with a win in the Monday sweep.

Alan beat class act Colin McKinney on count back. Rab Clydesdale was in the prizes again and could capture a major title before the end of the season.

1st, Alan Dale (12) 34 points; 2nd, Colin McKinney (15) 34; 3rd, Rab Clydesdale (21) 32.

THURSDAY AUGUST 26 - A great score of 44 points won the Thursday Open for Eamon Galloway.

1st, Eamon Galloway (18) 44; 2nd, J Cullen (6) 43; 3rd, J Convery (17) 42; 4th, Mark McCoy (10) 41. Best Gross: Alastair McCully(3) 74.
