The defeat came at the hands of old rivals Wallace, who saw off the All Ireland champions 6-3.

Andrew O’Hare netted four goals for the Lisburn side as they rarely looked like throwing away an early two goal lead.

It was he who opened the scoring with an impressive drag past goalkeeper Luke Roleston and they made it 2-0 on just 18 minutes.

Ben Nelson was left with a more simple finished and made no mistake, tapping in at the back post

That score remained until half-time and Wallace knew they had one foot in the final.

Bann, however, had been getting stronger as they half went on and started the second half in the same vain.

Unsurprisingly, they soon got back in the game.

Wallace stopper James Ritchie saved well from a Jake Rowe drag but Bann soon won a second and there was no stopping Rowe this time.

They were within one for only three minutes as O’Hare soon restored the two goal lead with a low finish under the diving keeper.

And his hat-trick was complete on 48 as he put the finishing touches to a tremendous run and square ball by Matthew Nelson.

After Kyle Marshall netted Bann’s second from another penalty corner, Wallace won a stroke and guess who? Andrew O’Hare converted.

Jacob Hermon touched home Wallace’s sixth before Marshall netted for Bann to complete the scoring at 6-3.
