Forget about the new series of X-Factor, 'Coleraine's Got Talent' is what everyone will be talking about this year and now you can register to take part in the event which has a prize fund of 1,000.

Event organiser Mark Crawford told Times Sport interest in the even has already been high.

"We have received a lot of enquiries about it, but registration is open now and it will be done on a first come, first served basis, so make sure you don't miss out," he said.

"We are looking for anyone with a talent whether it be singing, dancing, telling jokes or something a bit different.

"I'm sure it will be great craic and with some terrifiic prizes on offer the competition will be fierce!

"The first heats will take place in early September with the Grand Final set for just before Christmas. So everyone should get practising now!"

There will be four heats, two semi finals and a grand final with the top three sharing the cash fund.
