Hard-earned draw for Bann Fours

Banbridge Fours earned a hard-fought 3-3 draw with Queens Twos last week.

Banbridge drew first blood with a well worked goal, converted by Matthew Young from a Niall Burns pass.

The Queen’s team pushed hard for the equaliser and scored it within minutes of the opener.

Queens scored the next goal from a softly awarded short corner. The ball was dragged top left, 2:1. Not to be outdone, Bann kept attacking and Michael Young scored a well worked goal showing that Matthew wasn’t the only member of the Young family with a keen eye for goal, 2:2.

Queensnetted another short corner but, thankfully for Bann, Mark Campbell showed excellent composure to reverse hit the ball past the helpless Queens keeper to make it 3:3. Bann Fours gained another point with a performance to remember.
