Hannah rowing for gold

BANBRIDGE woman Hannah Lavery is hoping to lift gold medals in the Irish Rowing championships in Cork this month (July 16–18).

Hannah, a student at Queen’s University, rows in the university’s very successful women’s squad, and the novice rowers are hotly tipped to win the novice VIIIs championship.

The crew recently beat their counterparts at Trinity in the annual university boat race on the Lagan and Hannah is hopeful that this winning streak will continue.
