Greg Peacock is a vital winner for Finaghy

A 15.25 shots win by Greg Peacock helped Finaghy to a 2.25 shots home success and five points against St Stephen’s in NIBA Division Four.

After lifting four and three Peacock was 15-3 ahead at 11 ends and he continued to dominate , with Harry Morrison in good form at third, to win 22-9 which when the opposition were quartered was increased to 15.25 shots.

Despite lifting a three Joe Curry was 8-11 down at the tenth, but came back in style to win by three shots.

Three threes helped Randal Megrath to an 11-8 lead at 12 ends, but Finaghy lost by four shots.

John Campbell lifted two threes but was 7-13 down at the tenth and lost by 12 shots.

Lagan Valley’s home form this season has not been as impressive as usual and they slipped up when entertaining Moat Park in NIBA Division Five when losing by two shots and only taking two points.

A three at the first helped Brett Kirk to a 10-7 lead at the tenth and 16-10 at 15 ends. Valley maintained the advantage to win by six shots.

Ahead 9-6 at the tenth Jim Kinkead was level 11-11 at 15 ends and when lying shot at the last end Valley dropped a three to get a draw.

Despite starting with three Wilfie Benson was 7-12 down at the tenth and though lifting a four Valley were 16-18 down at 15 ends. They failed to score again and lost by eight shots.

Down 5-8 at the tenth Jeff Fawcus was 11-10 ahead at 15 ends, but had to get the shot at the last end to earn a tie.
