Good entry for Drumhorc Hill Climb

DRUMHORC Hill Climb on Saturday May 15 enjoyed a good entry of sixty cars with last year's winner, Graham Thompson, in his self built GTR Turbo car as fastest up the one mile hill with a time 51.29 seconds beating Seamus Morris in his newly acquired Philbeam MP62 by 2.56 seconds.

The best in sports car class and 3rd overall was Rudi Gage in ultra light Maguire Mini on 57.02 seconds. The Ford Escort brigade was won by Wesley Patterson in 57.55 seconds from Michael Colon and John Waring, all in 16 valve engine cars.

The fastest two-litre eight-valve engined cars was Andrew McGaffin in his immaculately prepared MK1 Escort on 60.16 seconds from Rory McPolin in a MK2 Escort on 61.58 seconds followed by his father Gerard on 62.32 seconds.
