The competition was sponsored by Porters. William and Audrey Porter, recent proud grandparents, were there to present the beautiful selection of picnic and summer crockery prizes.

They handed over a beautiful picnic hamper to the winner Lorna, who also got a handicap cut from 24 to 23 after her 38 points.

The runner up with 37 pts was Lady President Joy Gowdy.

Best Gross was Diana Whan, beating Alana Gartland on count back.

Section A (0-20) winner was Susan Magennis with 36 pts beating Fionnuala Crossey on count back.

Section B (23-28) winner was Anne Connolly with 37 pts. Runner up was Bea Boyce with 36 pts.

Section C (30-36) winner was Rita Downey with 37 pts. Runner up was Jacinta Rooney with 35 pts.

Back 9 - Louise Ewart with 21 pts.

Front 9 - Maryjo Thompson with 20 pts .

Nearest the pin - Eileen Pepper.
