Roland Harwood wins the Bank Holiday medal

Roland Harwood (15) shot a brilliant 78 gross in the May Bank Holiday Medal. That gave him 42 points and he won the competition by 3 points.

William Small, who plays off a 4 handicap at both Banbridge and Tandragee, went round in level par and he took second place with 39 points.

Albert Morrison (20) seems to get better as he gets older. His 38 points was good enough for third place.

The best gross prize went to young Scott Nelson (4) with a 74.

Gavin Greer (17) and Clifford Thompson (18) both had 37 points, just one point away from a prize.

The day belonged to Roland Harwood and it was richly deserved.
