Paul Wylie confirmed his place as the best 11 handicapper in the club with a tremendous win in this Open Stableford.

Paul shot a 75 gross which is really impressive golf but he needed every point to beat Gareth McGregor.

1st- Paul Wylie (11) 41 points.

2nd- Gareth McGregor (11) 40 points.

3rd- Kerry McCluskey (8) 40 points.

Best Gross: Jonathan Ward 71.

Sean McGreevey is a keen supporter of the Sunday Sweep. It is a little surprising that it has taken until now for Sean to register his first win this season. He could well pick up two or three victories in a row now that he has got that winning feeling.

1st- Sean McGreevey (19) Nett 30.5.

2nd- John Poots (16) Nett 34.

MONDAY 30TH JUNE

It’s good to see the number of newcomers to the great game of golf. Several of them are doing really well at Banbridge GC. The latest is one Stephen Teggart and, from all reports, this is only the first win of many to come.

1st- Stephen Teggart (18) 37 points.

2nd- Paul Faulkner (12) 34 points.

3rd- Merton McDowell (18) 32 points.

THURSDAY 3RD JULY

Clifford Thompson overcame the disappointment of taking a double bogey at the second hole and a triple bogey at the fifth to win this Open Stableford in a photo finish.

Callum Barnes had an unusual start to his round, a triple bogey seven at the first, a birdie four at the second and, wait for it, an eagle two at the third. How about that for bouncing back from a disappointing hole?

His opening triple ultimately cost him though as he finished third on countback. He did pocket a share of the 2’s pot with Barry Casey though.

Andrew Quinn had three birdies in a row from the fifth on his way to winning the best gross prize with a 72.

1st- Clifford Thompson (16) 39 points.

2nd- Gary McConville (12) 39 points.

3rd- Callum Barnes (9) 39 points.

Best Gross: Andrew Quinn (5) 72.
