Round three of the Mid-Ulster Senior Alliance was played at Lisburn Golf Club last Monday.

The weather was not good, very cold and plenty of rain.

The Banbridge team, captained by Dougie Stevenson, played early and possibly got the best of the day, weather wise.

Brian Mulholland, who knows this course like the back of his hand, shot one of the best individual rounds of the day, a superb 39 points.

Sydney Pepper was well pleased with his score, 34 points.

Norman Doak was third best with 32 points.

The fourth counting card came courtesy of Fergie Cosgrove, 28 points.

The Banbridge team total was 133 points, seven short of their target of 140. But, nevertheless, it was a commendable effort and one that keeps the team in contention for honours.

The other four members of the team were John Redpath, Roy Rankkin, John Poots and Dougie Stevenson.
