She smashed her way to a flawless 68 in the final round on the Open Championship course, shifting 14 places up the leaderboard to finish third in the Scottish Ladies Stroke Play Championship.

She hit five birdies and an eagle at the par-five 15th. It more than made up for a blip in form in the second round as she followed up an opening round 73 with a four over par 79.

With the Curtis Cup selection just one tournament away, Olivia is hoping she has put herself in the frame.

“It was great to get something going, especially after Saturday’s round and with the Curtis Cup selection coming up,” she said.

“I didn’t really know the selectors or recognise them so it didn’t really affect me when they were watching. Hopefully I can do enough this weekend.”

“If I do well in Wales, I will certainly give myself a chance. I just want to play well. If I get in then it’ll be great but I wouldn’t be really disappointed if I didn’t.”

Olivia will play in the Welsh Ladies’ Open this weekend before the Cup selection on Monday.
