It’s a family affair as daughter Helen wins the Rosemary Cocks Rosebowl

THE competition last Tuesday was the Rosemary Cocks Rosebowl.

The Rosebowl was presented to the ladies branch in 2004 by Rosemary who is a Past Lady Captain and past Lady President to be played as a perpetual trophy and is eagerly contested each year as one of the club ‘majors’.

This year’s winner with 38 points was Helen Cocks

Section A winner: Ann Mairs

Section B winner: Hilda Caughey

Section C winner: Mary Parkes

The Pink ladies prize also presented by Rosemary was won by Pat McCartan

Team News:: The Cowdy Cup team travelled to Killymoon last Sunday to play the away leg of their quarter final requiring 11.5 points out of 24 to progress to the semi-final.

Unfortunately the ladies fell just ½ a point short, managing to secure 11 points which levelled the tie overall however in a cruel twist they were beaten on countback. Hard luck ladies

The Miele Team on a brighter note beat Edenmore in their match and now progress to play Rockmount in the next round, with the Junior Cup team still to play the conclusion of their second round match against Portstewart.
