That left the following quarter-final line up:
James Clarke versus Martin McAleenan.
Peter Hillen versus Trevor Woods.
Dennis Watt versus Eugene Weir.
Bruce McCandless versus Neil Diamond.
Three of these games have already been played.
Martin McAleenan beat James Clarke 2 up.
Trevor Woods beat Peter Hillen 2 and 1.
Eugene Weir beat Dennis Watt 5 and 4.
Eugene Weir has won this cup more times than anyone else and he looks an odds-on favourite to win it again this year. Trevor Woods may have something to say about that.
