Christmas dinner wraps up the winter season

The winning team at the end of a very closely fought contest was Dubuisson’s Darlins’ championed by Sheena McStay.

All the team members played a key role in a cumulative effort to win the prize and Sheena thanked them all for their efforts on Friday evening.

Team members were Lady Captain Pam Graham, Kate O’Hara, Pat Hughes, Roslyn Millar and Gina Lewis.

The runners-up, who closed the gap consistently over the last few weeks but who just ran out of time, were Poulter’s Pets led by Dee Farrell.

Dee encouraged her team greatly and they very nearly caught Sheena but they didn’t deliver on time on this occasion and came up just short. Other team members who were all valiant in their efforts were Susan McMorrow, Priscilla Clayton, Grizel Turkington, Angela Lamb and Ursula Dummigan.

In the Christmas competition the ladies played for prizes for each of the twelve days of Christmas and the winners were as follows:

Pat Hughes 26, Brenda Gallery 25, Katrina Bradford 23, Kathy Matchett 22, Darryl Jameson 22, Geraldine Hickland 21, Lady Captain Pam Graham 21, Angela Lamb 20, Georgie Hogan 20, Catherine Jenkins 20, Priscilla Clayton 20, Anette Kilbinger 20.

Fiona Rowan and Lily Woods just lost out on the count back.
