Captain’s Drive-in atRedcastle GC

Despite difficult golfing conditions the members of Redcastle have stayed true to form and continued to battle it out in the Spring League 2014 over twelve holes.

Winner of week 4 of the Spring League was Paul Murray with an excellent 30 points, Howard Clarke carded an excellent 29 points to claim second with Danny McCartney placed third with 28 points.

Willie Havlin scored 39 points to finish in first place in week five of the Spring League.

Seamus McGeehan was placed second with 27 points with scramble master Billy Harkin finishing third with a credible 26 points.

Week six of the Spring League seen Michael Havlin placed in first place with 27 points, Paul Murray claimed second with 26 points with third place going to Vincent Glenn also with 26 points

Week seven of the Spring League was won with a huge score of 34 points over twelve holes by Kevin McLaughlin with his nearest rival some six points behind, Terry Green scoring 28 points with Willie Havlin placed third with 27 points.

Week eight of the Spring League was won by scramble master Billy Harkin with 28 points, closely followed by an in form Willie Havlin with 27 points and Kris McClelland was placed third with 26 points after a break of tie finsh.

Week nine of the Spring League was won by ever popular Bo Kelly with 27 points, closely followed by Willie Havlin with 26 points in second place and also with 26 points BOT finish Dan Joe McLaughlin.

Willie Havlin after week 9 looks on track to win the Spring League with 61 points followed by his brother Michael with 48 points and Dan Joe McLaughlin with 39 points, but as they say “watch this space.”

Redcastle’s Captain Mr John Weir invites members to take part in his Captains Drive in which will take place this Saturday, at Redcastle.

Members are advised to attend at 9.30am for a 10am tee off, let’s hope for drier weather.
