Only one very lucky lady had a two, Marie Mills at the 15th. Like the National Lottery this was a roll-over so well worth winning.

CSS this week moved to 71 meaning there were just rewards for those who played well and Handicap reductions went to: Ann Connolly - 26 to 25; Kathryn Sawyers - 29 to 28; Lorna Poots - 31 to 30; Mary Dooher - 29 to 27; Robena McCandless - 33 to 31.

Next week is Captain’s week and the ladies extend their very best wishes to Captain William McCandless for a very successful week.

Forthcoming Competitions: Tuesday June 26 - Rosemary Cocks Rosebowl; Friday June 29 - Club Mixed; Tuesday July 3 - 18 hole stroke; Friday July 6 - Open Day sponsored by Jason Greenaway Golf Shop (timesheet in shop).

Thanks to Glennis also for all the beautiful prizes and ‘goodies’ which were also presented to the ladies.

Team News: It has been a busy week for two of the ladies teams. The Junior Cup Team were in action when they travelled to Ballyclare to play the away leg of their first round match.

Having secured four wins out of five at home the local ladies needed just 1.5 matches to progress. In perhaps the hottest day of the year to date (it was enough to turn one of the Banbridge ladies blue), the Banbridge ladies managed to secure the two matches which they needed and now progress to play Portstewart in the next round.

The Miele team were playing against Greenore in their second match in this competition. In an unusual format half of the team plays at home and the other half away simultaneously.

In a very exciting climax to the match, both home and away deciding matches going to tie holes, the Banbridge ladies managed to hold off their opposition and now play either Belvoir Park or Edenmore in the next round. Good luck to both teams.
