GET ON COURSE AT THE SPORTS ARENA

A NUMBER of valuable training courses are beginning soon at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown.

One course, Safeguarding Children & Young People starts on Monday 31st January 2011 at 6.30-9.30pm and costs £15.

This workshop aims to raise awareness of Child Protection issues in sport and introduces participants to the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport.

This course is important for all adults involved in children’s sport, but it is particularly recommended for Coaches, Leaders, Administrators & Officials.

Another course Emergency Responder (AED) begins on Monday 7th February 2011 at 6.30-10.00pm and costs £30.

This course provides an understanding of the concept of defibrillation and how to safely and effectively use an AED. Spaces are limited.

The third course is the GAA Level 1 Youth Football Coaching Award which will be held on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd January 2011 and Friday 4th and Saturday 5th February 2011. The course times are: Fridays 7.00-9.30pm, Saturdays 10.00am-4.00pm and costs £50.
