Geoff takes the plaudits as a slow start leads to a busy finish at Rathfriland

Thursday June 27 saw the latest in the summer shooting season held at Rathfriland Clay Pigeon Club.

A slow start on the night led to a busy climax, with 11 lines shot in total. Despite this, a total of six shooters were to shoot 20/60, including Jason Coffey who was unable to stay for the shoot-off.

The final was made up of a number of Rathfriland regulars; Geoff Dale, Ronnie Peters, William Robinson, Aaron Smyth and George Gracey going at it, as the light faded towards the end of the night.

In the end it was the clinical Geoff Dale who took the win, posting another fantastic 20/60 score.
