The final match of the Junior League Three Cup for Banbridge Fours was away to Cookstown on their brand new pitch and Bann went down 6-4.

Banbridge made a fantastic start with a quick goal by Gary Dean. Craig Kennedy slipped the ball through for Gary to run one on one against the keeper. The goal keeper had no chance.

Within minutes Cookstown scored from a fast counter attack, but again Gary Dean was quick to respond with another goal.

Cookstown again responded with two goals in quick succession to place the game in their favour, 3-2.

After a short corner goal and another quick goal it looked like this game was going to be a whitewash. However, after Banbridge won a short corner the ball was cleared out of the D only for Sean Doran to play an unbelievable precision pass back into the D for Gary Dean to somehow score past the keeper. The half finished 5-3 to Cookstown.

The second half was far more closely contested. Unfortunately Cookstown did manage to score past Adam Crawford in goal again, who was outstanding for the whole game. This made it 6-3.

Not happy with that, who else but Gary Dean received a quick pass to set him off to score his fourth goal of the day to make what would be the final score 6-4.

Cookstown now progress to the final of the cup unbeaten in their four cup matches. Banbridge 4s finish the cup games extremely optimistic about the Junior 3 season.
