Further glory for Mary in Clonmel

DROMARA cycle racing star Mary Hunter pedalled her way to further glory recently in a tough time trial in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, which attracted some of the biggest names in the sport.

A full time personal trainer and  fitness instructor based at a DW health club on Belfast's Boucher Road Mary finished fifth in the event competing against  professional riders including Olivia Dillon from the USA and Siobhan Hogan who travelled from France to take part.

Competing in the men's section before leaving for the Tour de France was Nicolas Roche.
It was a remarkable achievement for the local athlete who in May took part in a pre-Olympic time trial from the grounds of Stormont in Belfast giving a good account of herself against the cream of the sport by finishing 24th.
