Friends test for High School teams

LAST week both the Dromore High School U13 and U15 hockey teams played their first matches of the season in a friendly against similar age group squads from Friends School.

The U13 team won their match 4-0. The goals were scored for Dromore by Kelsea Knox, who got two, Alix McCreery and Victoria Reain. The girls played extremely well with some excellent play up front by Chloe Greenaway, Victoria Reain and Alix McCreery.

Player of the match went to Becky Thompson who was outstanding for Dromore in midfield.

The U15 team started off well in their match, getting a goal in the first 10 minutes after an excellent individual display of hockey from Amy Poots who set Ellen Woods up to finish the goal.

The girls held their 1-0 lead up until the last five minutes when Friends equalised, making the final score 1-1.

Player of the match undoubtedly went to Amy Poots who was on excellent form for Dromore on Tuesday.
