BANBRIDGE Rangers Reserves traveled to Newtownhamilton on Tuesday night knowing that promotion was secure with this fixture plus Tullygally and Craigavon City still to play to fulfill their league quota for the season.

Tullyvallen Reserves have been unpredictable this season and Banbridge Rangers Reserves knew that a committed performance would be required to gain another three points.

In a strong first half Banbridge Rangers went in front when Neil Wilson scored his 11th goal of the season with another fine effort. The match continued to be competitive from both sides with Colin Cousins next to find himself on the score sheet to double the away sides advantage.

Banbridge Rangers continued to move the ball about and were comfortable in possession against their counterparts.

Rangers’ third goal of the game came from left sided player Wayne McAllister who slotted home after another period of sustained pressure.

The fourth goal of the game arrived when a Tullyvallen defender put the ball into the back of his own net.

The remaining minutes saw some rash challenges with the game getting heated at times but this was another comfortable victory for Dan Thornton's side to leave Tullygally needing just a point on Saturday to lift the league title.
