Town manager Ryan Watson says his side only have themselves to blame for their Intermediate Cup exit.
Watson cut a frustrated figure after his side surrendered a two goal advantage to exit the competition at the hands of their Amateur League opponents.
“It was a bit of a disappointing one but we can’t have any complaints about the result,” he said.
“It was a tough game in tough conditions but we brought the result on ourselves. Our game management let us down.
“The instructions going out were to play a lot more direct than we normally do because it would have been hard to play football on a soft pitch.
“We started doing that and got a lot of joy. We were 2-0 up and if we had kept going like that, I think we would have got the third to kill the game off.
“For whatever reason though, we decided to be a bit more clever and get it down and pass it. That played into their hands. They were able to close us down and there were some mis-placed passes.
“Maybe we got a bit complacent or just switched off but we gave them too much space and they capitalised on our mistakes and took their chances.
“We wanted to get another good run going but it wasn’t to be and now we can give our full concentration and focus to the league.”
