Village on wrong end of 10-goal thrillier

Lisnally drew first blood when a good strike from the centre forward found the back of the net after a ball in from the left caused havoc in the defence.

Boo McGrath then levelled the scores shortly after when he met a corner on the volley to find the roof the net.

Seapatrick then went into the lead when Ernie Buchanan got his head on the end of a Mark Myles cross from the left hand side. Lisnally however, had other ideas and scored two goals before half time to put them into a 3-2 lead.

Ryan Graham was brought down in the penalty area shortly into the second half and Damian McParland converted from the spot to make the score 3-3.

Two more quick fire goals gave Lisnally a 5-3 lead before Boo McGrath grabbed his second of the game to set up an entertaining final ten minutes with Seapatrick pressing hard in search of an equaliser.

Within little time left on the clock, Lisnally broke away against the run of play to seal their victory when the centre forward found the bottom corner when one on one with Paul McGrath.

The Village will hope to have a change in fortune when away to local neighbours Dromore Amateurs in the Mid-Ulster Cup next week.
