U14s keep up their winning streak

THE U14s continued their winning ways with this excellent three points against Ridgeway.

Banbridge almost scored after only a few seconds when Robert Colfer put a good through ball to Stephen McCavitt but his shot was saved by the keeper.

Then in the second minute Robert Colfer again put a through ball to Kalem Farrell who calmly slipped the ball passed the advancing keeper.

Ridgeway levelled the score after 10 minutes with an excellent shot from just outside the box that gave keeper Jonathon Walsh no chance.

Just on 20 minutes Banbridge received a free kick out on the right hand side and David Gray once again hit the ball with great accuracy into the roof of the net.

Andrew Martin also went close and forced the keeper to save before Kalem Farrell broke through and replicated his first goal to make it 3-1.

Banbridge had the best  of the second half initially with Stephen McCavitt, Robert Colfer and David Gray all going close but gradually Ridgeway got back into the game and put Banbridge under some late pressure.

However the defence once again held firm and keeper Jonathon Walsh never looked uncomfortable.
