Tuda Murphy is expected to leave Banbridge Town this summer.
New boss Stuart King said the keeper’s future was ‘undecided’ after Murphy had originally said he would stay next season, but later told the new boss he wasn’t sure if he would be back at Crystal Park.
“He told me he was undecided,” King commented.
“I need him to make up his mind as soon as possible,” he added. “Our first game is on Saturday so I need to get a goalkeeper in.
“He knows the situation and I can’t wait any longer. I’ve got to look after the team, not just one individual.
“Tuda is well respected at the club and he was excellent for us last year.
“He would be a big loss if he leaves,” King said.
The new Town boss is currently speaking to possible replacements, should Tuda decide to leave the Town.
“I’m speaking to two or three keepers,” he confirmed.
“I’m getting answers as soon as possible, they obviously need to speak with their own clubs.
Banbridge Town will have their first match of the new season on Saturday July 9, away to Lurgan Town.
