Banbridge Town Juniors Under-13s gave a heroic performance in the Cup Final against a strong Armagh side at Lurgan Town last Saturday morning.
The locals produced a stunning first half performance but were unlucky on a few occasions not to find the net as they kept Armagh goalless throughout the half.
Unfortunately for the locals, the second half proved to be a different affair as Armagh scored their first goal after ten minutes. And as Town drove forward looking for an equaliser, they conceded two more goals in quick succession and never really recovered.
Armagh scored a couple more late on to run out comfortable winners.
Town manager Tony McCreanor admitted it was a tough day for his team.
He said: “We (the management) are very proud of the what this group of players have achieved this season. They are a great group and it’s been a pleasure working with them.”
