Town’s season to begin with League Cup tie

Banbridge Town’s new manager will begin his tenure in charge in the NIFL League Cup.

Town have been drawn away to PSNI in the first round, to be played on Saturday 6th August at 3pm.

It will mark Stuart King’s first competitive match in charge and will pave the way for the Premier Intermediate League campaign, which begins a week later.

Town’s first league game of the 16/17 season will be at home to Newington YC while a trip to recently relegated Lisburn Distillery will follow a week later.


Lurgan Celtic v Bangor

Moyola Park v Institute

Limavady United v Queen’s University

PSNI v Banbridge Town

All remaing NIFL clubs received a Bye into Round Two.

All matches will be played to a finish with Extra Time and Penalties if required.
