Midfielder Niall Lavery has signed at Crystal Park as manager Ryan Watson moves quickly to replace departing trio Glen Waddell, Ryan Gourley and Chris McGrath.

Lavery has plenty of experience. He won Championship Two with Lurgan Celtic last year before moving to Dollingstown.

“He’s the type of player we want to bring in,” said Town boss Ryan Watson.

“He’s a ball playing midfielder and he impressed me when we played them last season. He was the best midfielder on the pitch.

“He’s a very intelligent and creative player with a good football brain.

“Losing Chris McGrath was a blow to us so Niall will fill that void.”

Meanwhile, on top of losing McGrath, Glen Waddell and Ryan Gourley, four more members of Town’s squad are moving on.

Stephen Croft, Chris Kingsberry, Jamie Smith and Gary Boyle are all leaving, whilst the remainder of the squad have agreed to stay on for next season.
