It’s back to Championship Two action for Banbridge Town this weekend and the fixtures don’t come much harder than this.

Town take on league-leaders Lurgan Celtic at Crystal Park on Saturday (kick-off 3pm) in search of another vital three points in their quest to secure mid-table mediocrity.

Celtic, led by ex Banbridge Town boss Colin Malone, will be keen to keep up their charge to Championship One and will also be out to get revenge for their earlier defeat at the hands of Ryan Watson’s men.

Conor Downey, Martin Buchanan and Ryan Gourley struck at Knockramer Park back in August to seal a 3-2 win for Banbridge Town. And that result is still Celtic’s only league defeat so far this term.

They boast an embarrassment of riches at this level with ex Premiership players Ryan Henderson, Chris Lavery, Dale Malone and Josh Barton all amongst their ranks.

Town will have their work cut out but, having enjoyed an upturn in form in 2015, beaten only once in the league, they won’t be ruling out another upset.

Supporters should note this game kicks off at 3pm.
