Hosted in The Anglers Rest, the club’s 33rd anniversary dinner dance and awards night saw the first team and reserves name their key men from the recent campaign.

There was certainly cause for celebration after the first team’s recent promotion to Mid-Ulster’s Intermediate A.

SLANE SCOREBOARD

Moneyslane’s first team rounded off their season on the Tuesday night before their awards with a 7-0 win over Laurelvale. Neil Taylor and Mark Ervine bagged a brace each while Johnny Kernaghan, Gareth Rees and Brian Quilty were also on target.

That means Slane finished the season with 130 league goals and a +97 goal difference. That’s an astonishing average of exactly five goals per game - the highest out of not only the Intermediate Leagues but incredibly out of all 11 Mid-Ulster divisions.

Many thanks to Ally Murray and Justin Rowan for bringing their team up and helping organise the match.
