Shay pays a visit to see his old clubmates

FORMER Banbridge Town Junior’s player Shay McCartan, second from left, met the current stars of his old team last weekend.

Shay made his debut for Northern Ireland U19’s earlier this week and is currently plying his trade with Championship side Burnley where he is making excellent progress.

Town Juniors are also delighted to have manager Arthur Downey on board. Arthur is a former Irish League player who played alongside former Northern Ireland and Nottingham Forest legend Martin O’Neill.

The Town are also delighted to have Linfield defender Aaron Burns, pictured far right, who has joined the U13’s coaching team working alongside Arthur and coach Martin Morgan pictured far left.

Like so many other Irish League players Aaron started his football career at his hometown club where he played for a number of season.

Also included in the photo is Banbridge Town Juniors Chairman David Maxwell.
