Coleraine are well aware of the task facing them in Slovenia tonight, but skipper Stephen O’Donnell has warned NK Maribor they aren’t there just to make up the numbers.

The Slovenians are regular competitors on the European scene and O’Donnell is looking forward to the challenge.

“For us as players it is excellent to be able to play at a great stadium and one that has been used for international games,” he said at last night's pre-game press conference.

“It is what we want to be doing week in week out and this fixture is a nice reward for the hard work that we have put in over the last nine to twelve month and last week.

“We want to come and give a good account of ourselves and do well.

“For us as a group this will be our third away trip in Europe and we are hoping that we can take the experiences we have gained from the last couple of years and use them to our advantage.

“All experience is good experience and it will give us an insight into what we are up against and an opportunity to face a situation we have been in before and the pressures and intensity that the game will bring.”
