TWO BIG HOME GAMES FOR RANGERS - Rathfriland Rangers have a big week ahead of them as they take on two fixtures in three days. Firstly on Thursday night they take on Saintfield Utd in a league fixture at Iveagh Park, the game having a 6.30pm kick off. On Saturday Rangers then enter the Border Cup for the second week in a row with a home fixture against Downpatrick FC. The visitors defeated much improved Ballynahinch in the previous round while Rathfriland have been the only team to beat the `Hinch in the league this season. This sets up a very interesting fixture against the Division 1A side but on home turf, The Whites will be hard to beat. Saturday`s fixture has a 2pm kick off.

SWIFTS RESERVES UP AND RUNNING - Rathfriland Swifts Reserves will travel in the league tonight (Tuesday) for a derby fixture against Damolly while on Saturday they will travel to Coalisland Athletic for an away fixture in the 1st round of the O`Hara Cup. Kick off 2pm.

PIXIE`S LOT! - What about former Rathfriland FC player Ryan ‘Pixie’ Moffatt who had a nice wee lunch with him while watching his former Rathfriland team mates against Ballynhinch on Thursday night. After his sandwich he had a lovely piece of chocolate cake with a smartie on top! Stevie Brannigan was eyeing it up too – I think Pixie brought it home from the kids soccer camp!!
