THE U10s started off brightly with Steven Moorhead finishing off a well taken goal to open the scoring. This set ‘Slane off to go on the goal rampage and from a Davis corner, Moorhead nodded in his second.

Jordan Davis then got on the score sheet with a brace and again some good finishing just before the break. Keeping up the pressure, Ethan Banks pushed forward and tried his luck from a distance, but just went wide.

Just before the end ‘Slane eased off and with Ewan Ritchie finding his arm as he tried to clear, ended up with a contentious penalty. Mark Jardine saved well, but bounced unluckily back to the forward for him to squeeze into the corner.

‘Slane tried to respond with Wilson setting up Davis, but the Rovers keeper was equal to his effort.

Trying to push for the equaliser, ‘Slane lost possession and another venomous shot gave them number two.

The U10s kept trying to play their game with Moorhead and Banks seeing their well hit shots just well saved.

Rovers broke again and this time it was an unlucky bounce to escape the claws of Jardine.

Not giving up, after the interval, Wilson got the bit between his teeth and ran from the half-way line beating the last two defenders and blasting past the Rovers keeper, to score the best goal on the day.

Ewan Richie tackled hard in defence to find Davis in his clearance, only for his deadly touch to desert him in this game.

Best for Moneyslane was Max Wilson.
