Kit Sponsorship -

Banbridge Rangers were delighted to show off three new youth team kits on Saturday in time for the commencement off the new season. The U12 team is coached by Basil Brown and Joe Butler who saw their side play their first game off the season at the Tech on Saturday morning in a kit sponsored by Shoefair Sports. Shoefair Sports supply Banbridge Rangers with all off their equipment requirements throughout all teams for several years now and this is the second team kit supplied for which Banbridge Rangers extend their thanks to Anne and Gail for their continued support.

The U10 team is coached by Mark Wilson and Mark Bell and saw their team kick off their season on Saturday at Havelock Park sporting new kits sponsored by T Clarke & Sons. The new sponsor for the Under 10s is represented by Jonny Clarke whose son Joshua is the goalkeeper at Rangers Under 10s and has been racking up clean sheets steadily over the last two years. Banbridge Rangers would like to express their thanks to Jonny for his support of the club.

The U8 team played two games on Saturday at Cheney Park against Banbridge Town coming out on top in both games under the stewardship off Ivan Kerr, Mark Rice and Geordie Rice. They were sporting new kits sponsored by the Downshire Arms Hotel. Nigel and Karen Heslip are both now active members off the Junior Youth Structure within Banbridge Rangers and have both boys terrorising defenders at different age groups. Ethan scored the second goal on Saturday for Banbridge Rangers with Issac also getting on the scoresheet for the Under 8s at Cheney Park. Banbridge Rangers would like to thank the Downshire Arms for their generosity.

There are currently opportunities available to sponsor kits and avail off advertising hoardings at Cheney Park aswell as match ball sponsorship. Register your interest by contacting Treasurer Jonny Porter on 07709853149.

Weekly Preview - This Saturday Banbridge Rangers will be hoping to book a place in the Quarter Finals of the Bob Radcliffe Cup but they will have a stern test to overcome in the form off Lurgan Celtic who are current holders off the competition. Rangers will play against Lurgan Celtic at Cheney Park with a later kick off time off 3pm. The Reserves will be hoping to bounce back after defeat to Armagh City with a home fixture against Banbridge Town Reserves at Cheney Park on Friday evening with kick off at 8pm sharp.

The Swifts also have a home game this Saturday against Richhill Reserves which will hopefully be scheduled at Cheney Park as a precursor to the Bob Radcliffe tie at 3pm. The U18s face probably the best Juvenile side in Northern Ireland on Saturday when they host current Harry Cavan Cup winning side Armagh City. The U14s travel to Markethill’s Ashgrove Park and the U12s will play Armagh City at the Tech and hope to retain their place at the top of the league.

The U11s will play Portadown at Lurgan Junior High this Saturday morning with the Games Development League fixtures for Under 8s and Under 10s released during the week and will be posted on the clubs facebook and twitter pages.
