Late heart-ache for Slane thirds

Slane thirds were beaten agonisingly 2-1 by Castlebbey this week

Slane were even ahead as Hammy brushed off a defender and slid a finish into the bottom corner. With poor marking though, Abbey nudged in a header totally against the run of play.

The second hal was a tougher affair and Slane couldn’t convert their chances. Then in the last few seconds, the Legends were pushing forward for the winner and were caught with a brilliant counter attack. The winger beat one man then perfectly placed it on to the forward’s head to finish into the corner and steal the win.

MOTM: Gareth Hamilton and Willy Davison.
